SRRC type approval

SRRC (State Radio Regulation of China) is a mandatory certification required by the National Radio Management Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. All wireless radio products sold and used within China must first obtain Radio Type Approval Certification.

Does the certified module used in the end product need to apply for China SRRC certification again

1. Product embedded radio transmission module for non independent operation application SRRC approval FAQ.
 
1) My product uses the radio transmission module that has applied China SRRC approval,
do I still need to test and obtain a SRRC certificate?

2) Can I apply for a SRRC certificate for multiple models of the same series of products?
(i.e. only one certificate can be applied for different models of the same series of products)
 
The answer is yes, provided that different models of the same series of products use the same non independent operation radio transmission module, and the product is in the following product list (see Table 1). The module must be a module registered with SRRC certification and CMIIT ID number with letter M (Figure 1). You can apply for a certificate with multiple models
3) How to define the same series of products
 
(1) The purpose and function of the product are exactly the same
 
(2) The appearance shape of the product is roughly the same (for example, if the appearance does not affect the RF performance of the product due to small changes in color and product size)
 
(3) The "restricted non independent operation radio transmitting module" embedded in this series of products has obtained the model approval certificate.

2. Conditions for obtaining SRRC approval of radio transmission equipment
 
(1). The applicant has the corresponding production capacity, technical force, and quality assurance system;
 
(2). The technical indicators such as the working frequency and power of the radio transmitting equipment conform to the China State Radio Regulation Committee standards and relevant regulations of radio management.
 
3. Prepare materials before application
 
(1) "Application Form for Model Approval of Radio Transmission Equipment"
 
(2) "Letter of Commitment for Model Approval of Radio Transmission Equipment"
 
(3) A photocopy of the applicant‘s business license or the legal person certificate of the company (applicant‘s signature), and the overseas applicant shall provide legal organization certification materials (stamped with the applicant‘s signature and seal);
 
(4) The specific handling person should submit the handling person‘s power of attorney signed by the applicant and the handling person‘s valid identity certificate, and the handling person and the entrusted handling person in the application form should be consistent;
 
(5) Materials related to production capacity, technical strength and quality management system related to the production of radio transmission equipment.
Domestic applicants who have obtained the quality management system certificate can fill in the certificate number in the application form; in other cases and have not yet obtained the quality management system certificate, submit the details of the technical capacity, production capacity and quality assurance system affixed with the official seal of the applicant’s legal person introduce.
 
The production capacity certificate should at least include the main production equipment model, the number of sets or production lines, the production plan, and the corresponding testing equipment (facilities).
If the applicant entrusts production by an OEM, provide materials such as the entrustment contract between the applicant and the OEM, as well as the technical capability, production capacity and quality assurance system of the entrusted party.
If the applicant voluntarily submits the compulsory certification certificate, recommended certification certificate or voluntary certification certificate as required by the state, and after audit, it can prove that he has the corresponding technical ability, production capacity and quality system, the application materials required by this article can be simplified.
 
(6) Equipment instruction manuals, technical manuals, circuit diagrams, circuit block diagrams or schematic diagrams related to wireless transceiver functions, key radio frequency components (such as radio frequency signal processing chips, power gain related devices, filters, baseband chips, radio frequency transceiver related devices , RF power supply and other management related devices, switching devices, duplexers, antenna related devices, clock related devices, etc.) list. The display method of the model approval code should be listed in the manual;
 
(7) If the type approval code is displayed in electronic form, the instructions for displaying the type approval code and the electronic sign style shall be provided, and shall comply with the "Notice of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the Electronic Display of the Type Approval Code of Radio Transmission Equipment" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) No (2015) No. 211) relevant regulations;
 
(8) A set of color photos of the equipment, including photos of the appearance, internal circuit boards and signs. The information on the signs should include the manufacturer, product model, and model approval code identification style, etc. The photos should be marked with a scale;
 
(9) Types and samples of equipment that comply with the type approval of radio transmission equipment
 
4. Under what circumstances need to apply for a certificate change
 
(1)If the information of the original applicant (applicant enterprise) of the certified product changes, the applicant shall submit relevant change materials (such as industrial and commercial registration and other relevant information) to apply for the change;
 
(2)If the information of the certified product‘s entrusted production company changes, the applicant submits relevant change materials (such as entrusted contracts, etc.), and the production company‘s production capacity, technical strength, quality management system and other materials apply for changes after the change;
 
(3)If the production capacity, technical strength, quality assurance system, origin, production line, etc. of the entrusted manufacturer change, the applicant shall submit the corresponding change materials, product laboratory self-test report or third-party test report, and the test based on the issuance of the certificate Commitment materials with consistent RF parameters in the report apply for changes;
 
(4)Components of certified products (RF signal processing chips, power gain related devices, filters, baseband chips, RF transceiver related devices, RF power supply and other management related devices, switching devices, duplexers, antenna related devices, clock related If the device changes, the applicant submits the corresponding change materials, the laboratory self-test report of the product after the change, or the third-party test report, and the commitment materials that are consistent with the RF parameters in the test report on which the certificate is issued apply for the change;
 
(5)If the model is changed after the certificate is obtained, the applicant shall submit the commitment materials that the previously certified model has not been actually produced and sold, and explain the reason for the change to apply for the change;
 
(6)If the product-related information changes due to changes in national laws and regulations or radio management regulations, the applicant shall submit relevant change materials, laboratory self-test reports or third-party test reports to apply for changes.
